Retouching

Post-Session you will have the opportunity to upgrade to have some or many of your images professionally retouched.

I delegate post-session workflow to professional image editors trained in photoshop, lightroom, and graphic design. Post-session, they select and color-adjust 80+ images for your gallery. Then, once you’ve selected your favorite images for retouching, the editors work their magic!

I like to keep retouching subtle so that the images look timeless and natural. The retouchers focus on improving certain details of the image like minor skin flaws, wispy flyaway hair on the crown area, litter on the ground, tourists in the background, etc.  They also enhance the colors/toning for the best printing results. Clients half-jokingly tell me that we save them from “hundreds of dollars in botox, liposuction, and laser treatments” and “If the movie stars can do it and get away with it, then I’ll do it too!!”

Retouching requests require a small additional fee, ranging from $10-$25.  Here are some of the most common selections;

• Basic: Attention to details of the image like minor skin flaws, wispy flyaway hair on the crown area, litter on the ground, tourists in the background, etc.  She also enhances the colors/toning for the best printing results.
• Slimming: We can remove 5-50 lbs upon request with a small fee depending on the amount needed. This is generally focused on the face, neck, arms, belly, and legs.
• Head Swaps: Sound scary?!  Well, it’s actually quite a handy retouching technique used for larger group shots.  The goal is to catch everyone with their eyes open and a smile on their face at the same time but occasionally we need to do a head swap.
